Step 3: Begin nutrition therapy with your dietitian
Your early sessions focus on getting to know you: your history with food and your body, what feels hard right now, and what kind of support feels safe and doable.
Together, you and your dietitian will:
- Talk through what’s been making food feel hard or confusing
- Explore the rules, fears, or expectations that have been running the show
- Get curious about what your body is asking for (even if it doesn’t feel clear yet)
- Figure out what feels overwhelming and what feels doable right now
- Find ways to make eating feel less stressful and more predictable
- Slowly build trust — in your body, in food, and in yourself
- Create next steps that feel safe, supportive, and realistic for your life
There are no food judgments, no “good” or “bad” choices, and no expectations to make big changes right away.
This work is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized.
