Frequently asked questions

No, I am not in-network with any insurance providers and do not do single case agreements.

Yes, I can provide a superbill after your session, if requested. It is your responsibility to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement and just because I provide a superbill doesn’t necessarily mean insurance will cover services.

I have a No-Cancellation Policy. Clients can, however, reschedule a session as long as it is more than 48 hours before your originally scheduled session time.

I can't speak for other dietitians but our work together will begin with creating a safe and comfortable space to get real and honest about your relationship with food and your body.

My practice is holistic in scope meaning that I like to take into consideration all the realms of health in your care (not just your physical health). Because the fact is, food, nutrition and our bodies impact and are impacted by every other aspect of our lives.

We will work on unlearning unhelpful nutrition beliefs that might be keeping you in the cycle of body and food shame. And we will discover a new way to view, think about and even talk about food and bodies that is rooted in compassion and curiosity.

We will also work on interoceptive awareness (our ability to sense what is happening in our body) as this helps us in understanding what our body's needs are and how to take care of it.

You will learn about your nervous system and the role it plays in how we experience food (from smelling it, seeing it, eating it, digesting it and excreting it). Understanding your nervous system can also be helpful in understanding why your body responds in certain ways.

There is also going to be emotion involved, which I know can sound scary and intimidating. It is important, though, that your entire self is welcomed into the space. I believe that you can learn how to navigate even the really big emotions.

Care for clients under the age of 18 typically involves more follow-up including providing post-session updates for parents/guardians as well as greater collaboration among the other care providers/treatment team members.
